Alex Lowe ex (Hurricane#1) at Smart Art Galleries


Alex Lowe ex (Hurricane#1)
Alex was born in 1968 in the heart of Perthshire in Scotland in a town called Blairgowrie.
He was singer with Britpop indie Stars Hurricane#1 and signed to the infamous Alan Mcgee Label (Creation) they had a string of top 40 hit singles and 2 top 20 albums. in the mid to late 90,s. The guitarist and main songwriter Andy Bell went on to join Gay Dad and then eventually playing bass with Oasis he is now the guitarist with Liam Gallaghers new band Beady Eye. Alex went on to do 4 solo albums 1 on Sony records and the others on his own label 12 Ft Wide Records.

He is now an accomplished abstract impressionist artist and has sold many paintings around the world including to a few stars such as Woody Allen, Mike Tyson, Donald Trump and his old boss, Music Guru, Alan McGee to name a few. His paintings could be described in the same Genre as Jackson Pollock but with a twist. Alex has also been working on a new Art project with Alan McGee. Alex predominantly works with arcylic mediums on very large canvas.
